Faith Like Abraham
Some time ago, God tested Abraham in a way that seems impossible. He called Abraham to take his only son, Isaac, the child of promise, and offer him as a sacrifice. Abraham did not know the outcome, but he obeyed. The next morning, he saddled his donkey, took his son, and set out. No encouragement, no crowd, just him trusting God’s voice.
Faith that has never been tested is faith that has never been proven. Abraham’s story shows us what it means to trust God above the promise, to love the Giver more than the gift. He believed that even if Isaac died, God could raise him back to life. That faith carried him all the way to the altar, and it was in his willingness to obey, before the act even happened, that God’s provision appeared. A ram was caught in the thicket, and God provided. Abraham named that place Yahweh-Yireh, the Lord will provide.
Here is what I want you to take away:
Faith is proven in the test, not the promise. Do not let blessings replace God’s presence.
True surrender holds nothing back. Obedience is faith in action.
God’s provision often comes in ways we do not expect, but it is always on time.
Today, I challenge you to examine your own faith. Are you stepping up when God calls, even before you have clarity? What is He asking you to surrender, to trust Him fully, so you can experience His provision in your life? The miracle is not always in the act, it is in the willingness to obey.
